There was a time that I loved loved loved down comforters. I knew they were made of goose feathers, but then, I decided one day to read about them. This is a post originally printed in 2015:
I’ve been reading about down comforters. My favorite blankie when I want to snuggle into the covers to get warm or escape for a bit.
I’ve learned that geese live 12-14 years. They are plucked live 3-4 times every year for several years until they are slaughtered for food.
Never again will I buy anything with down in it!
That is so horrible, I can’t even think about it.
