I’m re-watching “The Librarian” starring Bob Newhart and Noah Wyle. If you know the Bible story of the woman who touched the hem of Jesus and immediately felt power enter her body, you can understand why possession of the centurion’s weapon would have been so important to Hitler.
The legendary Spear of Destiny (aka Holy Lance) is the one the centurion used to pierce the side of Jesus on the cross. According to legend, because it actually touched His blood, it became a powerful weapon with supernatural power.

9/1/1935: Hitler removed the Spear of Destiny from Austria.
9/1/1939: Germany invades Poland
4/20/1945: The Spear of Destiny was recovered by US forces in Nuremberg
4/30/1945: Hitler commits suicide.
