Waking up before daylight, early October 1972, the clock radio alarm went off and was playing the Doobie Brothers hit song “Listen To The Music.” It had just been released in late September.
From that day till now, that has been my favorite song. As a matter of fact, my personality means that if I like something I overdo it until I’m sick of it. For THIS song, I refuse to buy any recordings of it and only listened to it when it came on the radio.
Today, it’s my ringtone on my cell phone. And I love it when it comes on the radio.
