Fische Tales

It’s funny all the things I think of when I’m working on this blog! Random things that seem so weird to think about. SO here we are…

Who else remembers getting their first public library card? I do! (OF COURSE, I do!🤓

I was about 13 when I asked Mother to take me to the public library to get my own card. And I used it every Saturday when going with Mother to take care of her banking in downtown Douglasville.

I of course do not have that card any longer and haven’t had one since circa 2010. (The Internet fixed that.)

I remember, in the 1970s, going to the Carroll County Public Library and using their “fische machines” to do research on a little sheet of microfilm to do look-ups for old newspaper and magazine articles, etc.

My long life quest to know what I don’t know and confirm what I learned didn’t start with the internet. The internet just changed the process I use to learn.😁
