Welcome To The Planet!

When I was younger (before I was diagnosed and “fixed”), I was NOT a morning person. I always wanted to be. But I also wanted to be a night owl, too, which is what my biorhythm dictated.

Every single morning for decades, waking up, I felt like I had been dragged behind a car on porcupine asphalt. It was miserable.

My parents never knew this, but in high school, I usually didn’t have lunch because I often had to use lunch money to pay for a taxi. I always missed the bus that came 2 hours before school started even though we lived only 1.2 miles away. What a blessing when friends with cars could pick me up! 😁

Although it has been years since that was treated, I have great sympathy for and am considerate of anyone who I know needs to ease into their day with a cup of coffee without stress.

That’s why I never bother my daughter before 10. She gets up early every day, but it’s a minute before she’s feeling like the ray of sunshine she really is.

And THAT’S why I am waiting a while before I call her with my usual message, On this day, “__” years ago, God gave me the first of two of my greatest gifts…”. She’ll never know the excitement and impatient anticipation for her arrival.

She’ll always be my sweet, baby girl.
